RECIPES

This section will be for people to give their favorite recipe that they have shared and have gotten rave reviews.

We start with Laura Peche's treat that she has shared many times with us:

Chester's Carmel Puffcorn
1 Cup Butter
1 Cup Brown Sugar
1/2 Cup Light Corn Syrup
2 teaspoons Vanilla
1 teaspoon Baking Soda
1 Bag of Chester's Puffcorn (or any puff corn)
 

Pour puffcorn into baking pan or oven safe dish.
In a 2 quart saucepan, cook together butter, brown sugar, light corn syrup and vanilla for 2 minutes.
Add baking soda to mixture which will cause caramel mixture to foam.
Pour caramel mixture over puffcorn (in baking pan) and stir until mixed.
Place in 200° oven for 45 minutes.
Stir every 10-15 minutes.
Remove from oven and place on wax paper to break apart.

BLT Dip

1 Cup Mayonnaise
1 Cup Sour Cream
1 Large Bottle Bacon Bits
1/4 teaspoon Garlic Powder
1 Green Onion [cut green part into 1/4" thick pieces]
1 Large Tomato, seeded & diced

1. Mix all ingredients except tomatoes
2. Refrigerate overnight
3. Add diced tomatoes next day when serving with Ritz Crackers or Scoops
